Fellow fighters!

Warriors on the path of liberation, justice, freedom, and equality!

Dedicated Peshmergas!

Honorable families of the fallen Komala members!

June 21 marks the anniversary of the martyrdom of comrade Saeed Moeini (known as “Khaneh”), the first Peshmerga and the first martyr of Komala, who sacrificed his life in South Kurdistan in the struggle for liberation, justice, and equality in that part of Kurdistan. For decades, this day has been commemorated as “Komala Peshmerga Day.”

The half-century history of Komala’s Peshmerga struggle is filled with innovation, pride, and valuable achievements. The name Komala Peshmerga has always been associated with noble concepts such as resolute defense of the Kurdish people’s right to self-determination, solidarity with workers and laborers, and the leadership role of women. With their endless dedication, honesty, and compassion for the people, Komala Peshmergas have earned historic trust and a steadfast place in the heart of Kurdish society. On battlefields against occupying forces, as brave, fearless, and determined warriors, they have carved a special name and reputation throughout Kurdistan and created hundreds of heroic Peshmerga sagas.

Fighting masses of the Kurdish people!

Today, the Middle East and Kurdistan are undergoing fundamental transformations. As the Islamic Republic of Iran burns in the whirlpool of its destructive policies and the fires of regional wars it has ignited, and as it nears collapse more than ever before, a historic and heavy responsibility rests on the shoulders of Komala’s Peshmergas. Our conditions have changed, but our ideals for freedom, liberation, justice, and equality remain steadfast, noble, and valuable.

Komala Peshmergas are not merely an armed force executing military orders; they are conscious fighters, principled, and bearers of the message of a dignified and modern life. At this critical stage, Komala Peshmergas continue to be the main protectors and supporters of the rightful internal movements in East Kurdistan, maintaining and expanding the deep structural connection between the Peshmerga struggle and mass organizations in cities and villages. Today, Komala Peshmergas carry the message of liberation, freedom, equality, environmental protection, and a dignified human life, living with the pains and hopes of the people.

As Komala Peshmergas, inspired by the intellectual and revolutionary achievements of past decades—clearly reflected in the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” (Women, Life, Freedom) revolution—we emphasize more than ever the Kurdish people’s right to freedom, human equality, economic and social justice, and individual and collective freedoms, and we will not allow any regression from these human values.

In this framework, a fundamental and essential duty of Komala Peshmergas regarding Kurdistan’s future is to safeguard the rights and freedoms of all residents and components of Kurdish society, with all their intellectual, national, religious, and cultural differences.

Komala Peshmergas do not merely wait for changes but, adhering to Komala’s values and the Kurdish nation’s aspirations for liberation and freedom, with political awareness and lessons learned from past experiences, they can and must become the architects and organizers of great transformations in Kurdistan and among its oppressed classes. We move forward with a clear program and vision toward a future homeland full of freedom and happiness, with a horizon based on justice and equality for all.

Glorious and honorable be the 21st of June, Komala Peshmerga Day!

Honorable be the memory and name of all Komala martyrs and the Kurdish liberation movement!
