On October 7, 2023, a conference titled “Towards Inclusive and Democratic Unity” was held in Frankfurt, Germany, with the participation of various political parties, organizations, and activists.
The primary objective was to establish “Common Foundations for Dialogue Towards Inclusive and Democratic Unity”, organized by the two alliances. These alliances comprise nearly twenty diverse political entities aiming to play a significant role in Iran’s future political landscape and regional dynamics during transitional phases.
The conference commenced with a moment of silence honoring those who sacrificed their lives for freedom, followed by the reading of a message prepared by the leaders of the twenty participating parties. Members of the organizing committee emphasized the necessity of dialogue to achieve mutual understanding and highlighted the importance of preparing for transformative discussions to realize political and national aspirations.
Participants actively engaged in discussions, sharing perspectives on the foundational principles for dialogue aimed at inclusive and democratic unity.
Both alliances emphasized the need to form a comprehensive and democratic coalition to confront the Islamic Republic regime. Establishing a dialogue framework based on mutual understanding and consensus was deemed a constructive step towards this goal.
The conference addressed the reasons and necessities for initiating dialogue to build alliances, explored the foundations for dialogue towards inclusive and democratic unity, and recognized the importance of strategic coordination among forces and organizations committed to achieving rights and uniting efforts while respecting each party’s political identity.
The conference concluded at 19:30 Central European Time with the reading of the final statement in a cordial atmosphere.
Final Statement:
In the path towards inclusive and democratic unity, friends and dear ones, during the revolutionary uprising of Zhina, our people demonstrated their desire to move beyond the criminal Islamic Republic and establish a progressive, human-centered system.
We held this conference in solidarity with those who have sacrificed for over a century for their human rights, aiming to announce “Our Common Foundations for Dialogue Towards Inclusive and Democratic Unity.”
Our roadmap for dialogue and consultation is to create the broadest possible alliance. This requires exchanging ideas, discussing practical solutions, and finding the most effective forms of coordination among the closest movements and forces opposing tyranny and absolutism.
The existence of diverse political movements with different ideas and programs reflects the various social backgrounds of Iran’s people. Achieving a secular and democratic structure governed by the rule of law necessitates cooperation among a wide range of influential opposition forces.
To reach this goal, we hope the initiated dialogues will continue through multiple conferences and seminars, encompassing broader segments of forces and movements.
With hope and continuous effort until the victory of the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement, we sincerely thank all participants who accepted our invitation and joined us in person and online. We expect you to assist us in organizing and enriching such conferences with constructive criticisms and practical suggestions.
We once again extend our hand to all forces that accept dialogue based on possible commonalities. We deeply believe that our joint effort is a practical and serious step towards liberation from the regime of ignorance and crime and the fruition of the revolution.
